ECO8 software has been developed by SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC with the aim of enabling quick evaluation of energy savings that can be achieved by installing an ALTIVAR variable speed drive in a pumping or ventilation application.
New Project
This option enables initiation of creation of a new project.
Open
This option enables opening of a previously saved file.
Save
This option enables save of the current project.
Save As...
This option enables change of project name or the location in which it will
be saved.
Customize
This option enables determination of default values that will be used at
each creation of a new project.
Print
This option enables configuration of the printer as well as of paper used,
print orientation, etc.
Exit
This option enables exit from the application and return to Programme Manager.
Cut
Enables cut of selected text and copy to the clipboard.
Copy
Enables copy of selected text to the clipboard.
Paste
Enables insertion of content of the clipboard.
Remove
Enables removal of the selection.
Project Data
This option enables entry of data relating to the current project (installation
references, production date, etc.).
Installation Type
This option enables entry of the type of installation for which the estimate
of energy saving by variable speed drive use will be carried out.
Installation Characteristics
This option enables entry of data relating to the electrical part of the
installation (power supply voltage, motor power, etc.).
Operating Rates
This option enables entry of operating times at different flows. In this
menu, it is necessary to introduce the number of operating hours of the
motor at each flow rate (10%..... 100%). These values can be introduced
as number of hours per day, per week, per month or per year.
This option enables calculation of energy saving achieved by ALTIVAR installation. In order to execute this calculation, it is necessary to first enter the following data:
Add installation
This option enables addition of a new installation to the current project.
Delete installation
This option enables deletion of an installation from the current project.
This menu enables discovery of the application.
From this menu the answer to a problem encountered may also be found.
